Snap on 2&4 w/ Donna McElroy

On Saturday, August 29 at 8pm, NJW is proud to present vocalist Donna McElroy in concert in the Jazz Cave!

Donna is a longtime favorite of Nashville audiences and a frequent visitor to the Jazz Workshop. A graduate of Fisk University in performance and vocal pedagogy, she was for many years a popular and sought-after vocalist on the Nashville music scene before joining the faculty at Boston's Berklee College of Music, where she is now Professor of Voice.

Donna's 1989 CD, "Bigger World," was released on the Warner Nashville label and garnered a Grammy Award nomination. More recently, her 2007 release, "Fly to Forever," is a collaboration to Jazz Workshop's Directors, Roger Spencer and Lori Mechem, and was recorded here at the Workshop.

For this performance Donna will be joined by Lori Mechem (piano), Roger Spencer (bass), Don Aliquo (saxophone), and Marcus Finnie (drums).
