Snap on 2&4 w/ Champian Fulton

Join us on Saturday, April 14 at 8pm as we welcome back to the NJW Jazz Cave the sensational NYC-based pianist/vocalist Champian Fulton!

Champian Fulton is fast becoming a musician of choice in the jazz world. Ms. Fulton has exhibited highly regarded performances for some of the largest festivals in the world since coming on to the international scene with her 2010 release The Breeze and I on Spectra Jazz Records. This was followed by the critically-acclaimed Change Partners in 2015.

Champian Fulton appears in Nashville as part of tour that includes stops at Hilton Head's Jazz Corner and New York's Mezzrow. She performs with her quartet: Elias Bailey, bass, Ben Zweig, drums, and Stephen Fulton, flugelhorn.

Here are just a few of the critical raves she's received:

“A charming young steward of the mainstream jazz tradition...” Nate Chinen, THE NEW YORK TIMES

"An assured vocalist with a galvanizing presence." THE NEW YORKER

“Champian is the most gifted pure jazz singer of her generation”  Mark Stryker, DETROIT FREE PRESS

"Fulton’s voice is deep and resonant, her phrasing nuanced and stylized in the way of traditional jazz singers. But her persona is modern and upbeat" THE NEW YORK CITY JAZZ RECORD
