Bruce Dudley Live at the Workshop
On Friday, September 13 at 8pm, pianist Bruce Dudley returns to the Jazz Cave. For this concert Bruce will lead a quintet with Don Aliquo (saxophone), Roland Barber (trombone), Marcus Finnie (drums), and Jonathan Wires (bass).
Bruce Dudley is one of the city’s most elegant and accomplished pianists and educators. He studied at the New England Conservatory of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and Eastman School of Music. He received a doctorate in Jazz Studies from the University of Colorado, and is on the faculty of Belmont University, MTSU, and the Nashville Jazz Workshop. An outstanding composer and arranger, his 1998 CD Semblance was nominated for Best Jazz Album of the Year in Nashville Music Awards. His recent CD’s include Mostly Monk (2010) and The Solo Sessions (2012).
