Geary Moore Live Streaming Concert

The Nashville Jazz Workshop will present the next live streaming concert direct from the new Jazz Cave, featuring guitarist Geary Moore and his quartet. The concert takes place Friday, May 28 at 7pm CDT, and will be streamed online through Eventbrite.

For this concert Geary will be joined by longtime collaborators Kelli Cox (piano), John Birdsong (bass), and David “Smitty” Smith (drums). Don’t miss this swinging concert – and get a sneak peak at the new Jazz Cave in the NJW’s Buchanan Street building.

About Geary

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Geary Moore lived and performed in the New York and New Jersey area for many years before moving to Nashville in 2005.  His fluid, inventive and authentic style attests to the thoroughness of his background in Jazz, R&B and Pop music. He has traveled across the country and internationally, sharing his music.

A protégé of George Benson and Jimmy Ponder, Mr. Moore has performed with many noted respected musicians, including Arthur Prysock, Peaches and Herb, Slide Hampton, T.S. Monk, Bob Cranshaw, Claudio Roditi, and Mickey Roker. He has traveled and performed in Israel, Bermuda, Mexico, the Bahamas, Martinique, St. Lucia, Haiti and was named a Jazz Ambassador by the Kennedy Center in New York and traveled throughout Africa to Angola, Cameroon, Namibia, Nigeria, where he gave lectures and taught master classes.
