About Joseph Wooten:

Joseph Allen Wooten, a multi-talented artist, is known for his roles as a keyboardist, writer, producer, and educator. With three Grammy nominations and a longstanding tenure as the keyboardist/vocalist for The Steve Miller Band, Joseph’s musical journey began alongside his brothers in The Wooten Brothers, sharing stages with renowned artists like Curtis Mayfield and The Temptations. His diverse career includes collaborations with R&B icon Kashif and contributions to Whitney Houston’s debut album. Beyond touring with The Steve Miller Band, Joseph fronts his own ensemble, Joseph Wooten & The Hands of Soul, and participates in Freedom Sings, a celebration of free expression. A published author of “It All Matters: What I Believe, Words That I Live By,” Joseph is also a motivational speaker, engaging with students on topics of character development and personal growth. Together with his wife, Stephanie, he founded the non-profit organization I Matter! You Matter!, dedicated to inspiring positive change and supporting youth, veterans, and the homeless community.
