Join pianist Kelli Cox at the Nashville Jazz Workshop’s Jazz Cave on Saturday, July 22, 2023. The concert begins at 7:30pm CDT (Doors at 7:00pm). Kelli’s band for this special concert is a sextet, with Jonathan Wires (bass), Rick Reed (drums), Dan Hitchcock (saxophone), Greg Cox (trombone), and Jack Wengrosky (trumpet.
Kelli’s focus for this performance is “Influences,” with music by pianist/composers who have influenced her playing. Those include Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Horace Silver, Oscar Peterson, and Wynton Kelly, so you know there will be some great music!

KELLI COX: Kelli Cox has been playing piano professionally since she was fifteen years old. A native of Denver, CO, she graduated from the University of Miami in Florida and has had a long and varied career. She has performed with many artists including Bobby Vinton, Richard Marx, Blue Daniels (lead singer of the Platters), Le Anne Rimes, Lorrie Morgan, Cece Winans and many others. She has her own jazz group, The Kelli Cox Collaborative that has performed at various festivals and has their own recording. She loves interacting with young musicians and trying to pass on knowledge while helping them figure out how to use their gifts to bring music and joy to others.
Policies: The Jazz Cave is a BYOB establishment, with no alcohol or food service. You are free to bring alcoholic beverages and snacks. We sell soft drinks and bottled water. The Jazz Cave is a listening room, and we ask patrons to keep conversation to a minimum and silence cell phones. Audio and video recording is prohibited. TICKET SALES ARE FINAL.
