Roz Thompson

Join vocalist Roz Thompson at the Nashville Jazz Workshop in the Jazz Cave on Saturday, November 18, 2023.  Joining Roz will be Lori Mechem (piano), Roger Spencer (bass), Chester Thompson (drums), Rod McGaha (trumpet), and Michael Morton (flute). The concert begins at 7:30pm CST (Doors at 7:00pm).

Roz Thompson: Roz Clark-Thompson is a versatile vocalist who has recorded with CeCe Winans, Donna Summer, 4Him and toured the world with legends, the likes of Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck. She also performed the Tony Award-winning role of Aunt Em and Glenda the Good Witch Of The South in the musical “The Wiz.” Thompson has been featured on “The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson” as the supporting act for the Smothers Brothers, Bob Newhart, Bill Cosby, and many others.

Critics have been free with accolades for this sensational jazz singer. “A gusty songstress loaded with soul, savvy and style” says Frank Lieberman of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, and Hollywood Reporter called her “a real stunner, an amazingly versatile talent.”
