The Jazz Set Intensive for Vocalists at the Nashville Jazz Workshop is an immersive, hands-on jazz vocal experience led by some of Nashville’s top jazz educators and singers. This three day program is for all jazz vocalists, beginners to professionals, taught in the small group style that the Nashville Jazz Workshop was founded on.

Singers will learn literature, phrasing, improvisation, vocal health techniques, musicianship, performance techniques, listening skills, rhythmic interpretation, and on Sunday everyone will perform in the Jazz Cave, one of DownBeat Magazine’s top 150 jazz venues in the world.

  • August 9-11, 2024 10am-4:30pm every day, and evening events. Final participant concert August 11th at 4:30pm. (See below for detailed schedule)
  • Tuition is $800. Includes three days of classes, lunch each day, music charts and instrumental practice audio tracks for 32 jazz standards, 1 ticket to an NJW performance on Saturday (Nashville Jazz Workshop faculty and special guests performing), and the Sunday afternoon participant concert.

In order to give our singers plenty of attention in classes and on stage, registration is limited to 15 people on a first come basis.
