Our Facility

The Workshop has a modern look, equipped with maple walls, galvanized steel trim and gallery lighting which lets us use our reception and waiting area to present shows of local artists’ works. The George Tidwell Jazz Library houses a large collection of jazz recordings. Over 5,000 CD’s were donated by NJW supporters Mark and Linda Edwards, making this possibly the largest such public collection in the region. The NJW also has state-of-the-art audio recording facilities, which allow the recording of live performances as well as the production of CD’s by local and visiting artists.

One of NJW’s most beloved features is an on-site performance facility, “The Jazz Cave.” This is where we hold recitals, master classes, and a twice-monthly performance series, “Snap on 2 and 4” (see our events listing for more information).
