Richard Peden 1950-2023

In May 2023, we lost a very dear friend of NJW’s. Richard Peden was the builder of NJW’s first site at the Neuhoff. He took a complete bombed out shell and made such a beautiful place for us to start our dream. His vision was so amazing of how he took a giant room and sectioned it off into classrooms and offices. He also custom made all the kitchen cabinets in the Jazz Cave! Richard also came up with the very clever lighting we had and added an art gallery at the entrance. Shortly after we moved in 2000, he relocated to Sonoma, CA. where he designed custom made wine cellars. Richard was a very important person in our NJW history and we will miss him dearly. For those who remember the old place…..let’s thank him for giving us life!
